Here is a picture of Rob in what most people believe is the American southwest. This is his truck at the end of Whitmore wash at the north west section of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. This is as close to the water as you can get your truck. Most people don't drive the 6 hours of rough, 4x4 road that is required to get to this spot. Most just go to the south rim. From here you can hike down to the water in about an hour. Took Rob 2.5 hours to get back up. Let me tell you Rob almost died. Not a fun climb for a fat guy in July. The walls continued to be hot well after the sun went down. |
